Hurricane vase

I decided to make these vases for the holidays.  I went to Dollar Tree and purchase everything except the glue. While making this craft I realized that I had two different candlesticks.  first thing you do is take the sticker off.  If it cannot come off use dishwasher liquid. Next take e6000 around the  top of the candlesticks.  Place the vases on top. I used q tip around the candlesticks in case of excess glue. Then you let them dry for 24 hrs and you can dress it up how  you like.

Glow in the dark fairy jar

This project is for kids. I had Mason jar. You can purchase one from Deals or Dollar Tree. I bought glow in the dark paint from Jo- Ann fabric and craft store. I also used a thin paint brush and paper plate. I used the paint to make dots inside of the jar or you can use paper plate by placing a small drop of the paint onto the paper plate. Use the paint brush to put dots in the jar. When completed put the jar by the window and by night time you will have your glow in the dark fairy.

Reupholster your chairs!

Holidays are coming up and my family will be visiting.  So I decided to reupholster my chairs. My husband did them years ago so I had some fabric left over. You can purchase fabric from a fabric store Walmart, and Jo-Ann. This is my first time doing this so i hope it turn out right. I used 3 yards of fabric, pliers, screw driver , flathead, staple gun and Arrow1/2 " 12 mm heavy duty staples. First i unscrew the chair. Then i used the flathead and the pliers to take out the staples.I began to measure the size of the chair leaving extra fabric to cover the bottom.  Then i stapled the fabric to the back of the chair.

Duct Tape

Duct tape are not for household use anymore! They come in fun colors and patterns. Youtube has many tutorials on what you can make.
Here are some of  my daughter creations!

Hair bow headband

Hair bow head wrap

Bow tie

Roller skate fondant

Here is what  I used: color fondant,  decoration gel and toothpick. These you can get at Michael's or craft store.
First I rolled the yellow fondant(pea size) to make wheels
Then I used the toothpick to hold them together
Now it's time to make the body of the skate!
Next I used pink fondant and shaped them like a backwards L
I used a little water to glue the skates onto the wheels
Lastly I used decoration gel to make the laces.
